Australia Day honours: Abla Amad, Melbourne restaurateur recognised in Australia Day awards

26th January 2015
Many Dunedin Lebanese people visiting Melbourne make eating at Abla's a "must do".  Abla Amad migrated to Australia from Lebanon when she was 17-years-old and opened her own restaurant in Carlton in 1979.

We send our congratulations to Abla for the wonderful achievement of being part of this year's Australia Day honours, Abla has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to tourism, hospitality, and the Australian Lebanese community.

If you or anyone you know are ever in Melbourne - visit Abla's for a traditional taste of Lebanon.
