Registration Information / Terms and Conditions

Please read all information before completing your registration form.


Families & Couples: A family registration can consist of mother/ father/dependant siblings. Every family member registered on that registration form must be paid for on that transaction.
Single Guests: Some siblings may wish to register on their own (i.e. those not living at home or students) Attendees can register a partner or a guest on the same form. Please remember each registration requires its own payment.
Grandparents: If you are intending to pay for your parent(s) or grandparents, simply register them separately and pay for them using the outlined payment options.
Reference Number Every registration will have its own reference number. Please keep note of this number particularly if you are paying by Internet banking or forwarding a cheque.

Registration Reception

The reception centre will be situated in the Dunedin Town Hall foyer. It will be open on Friday 28 October from 12.30 and all day throughout the celebrations. The registration desk is there to assist all families and their guests. It is intended to provide facilities for a gathering point to meet & greet throughout the festivities.

Registration Eligibility

Eligibility is open to all Otago/Southland Lebanese families and their descendants.

Adult Registration Fee $75.00 Child (Under 18) Free of charge
Adult Black Tie Ball $95.00 per person Child Disco (under 18) Free of charge
Honorary Member - Cedars of Lebanon (over 70 years of age living in Otago) Free of Charge
Students & Senior citizens $55.00

Additional Tickets

Due to expected demand priority is given to individuals who register for the full weekend. Attendees wanting to attend individual activities will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Last minute decisions to attend events will not be an offered option.

Registration Entitlements:

The celebration registration fee will cover the following activities:
Attendance at the Friday night meet & greet including supper, Saturday lunch & Sunday morning tea. Access to all displays, activities, exhibitions, talks and tours. A full registration pack with the Gathering programme, souvenirs and family lists.

Discount Registrations:

Individuals are asked to contact the committee for an appropriate adjustment to fees. Student & senior citizen discounts are available. It is the intention of the committee for as many people to attend as possible. The committee does not want anyone to be unable to attend due to cost.

Direct Debit (On-Line)
Facilities are available for guests to pay on-line or direct debit. Funds can be transferred directly into The Gathering bank account. Please ensure that you complete your transaction by listing your name & registration reference number so that we can process your payment accordingly.

For overseas registrants please put "ANZBNZ22" in front of the bank details.

Receipts will be issued to those who request them in their registration pack.

Late Registrations:

In order to encourage early registrations and to prevent disappointments a late fee of $25.00 has been introduced on registrations received after Oct 17th 2011.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations will be made at the discretion of the organizing committee. All requests are to be made in writing and will be considered after the celebrations. The committee reserves the right to deduct up to $50.00 for administrative costs.

Registration Confirmation

On submission of registration, your information and payment details will be forwarded to The Gathering database. Credit Card Registrations: Registration is confirmed once your credit card has been approved, you will then receive notification of this confirmation by email. On-Line Registrations & Registrations by cheque: Confirmation for these types of registration will be made once payment has been received in full. Confirmation will be made either by post or email.

Please note registration is not confirmed until payment is received in full.

Privacy Act:

Guests not wanting their name on any publications i.e. The Gathering Programme/Family Trees etc are to contact the organizers. Respect will be given to any individual or family not wanting their name placed on any celebrations material. It is important to note however that NO lists or personal information will be given to any organization/company/or institution without the guests written approval.


Please feel free to contact us if you have any queries. The celebrations are being hosted to provide a unique opportunity for the Lebanese community to meet with each other and share stories past/present and future. Plenty of time has been made available so that smaller & more intimate family reunions can also be held within the time available.
